To all child care providers: thank you for the incredible care, dedication, and support you give to children, families, and our communities every day. Your compassion, commitment, and hard work make a lasting difference, and we are truly grateful for all that you do.

Since 1982, May has been recognized as Child Care Month in BC, and this year, May 8th has been proclaimed Child Care Provider Appreciation Day. This special day is an opportunity to honour, celebrate, and recognize the important role child care providers play in the lives of children and families throughout our communities.

For parents, this is a wonderful opportunity to show appreciation for your child’s care provider or child care team. A thoughtful gesture such as flowers, coffee or tea, a gift card, or homemade baked treats can go a long way in expressing your gratitude.
