Outdoor learning and emergent learning are increasingly becoming a part of elementary education. How is this type of learning uniquely suited to neurodivergent students, how can it be challenging, and how can you build inclusion into the places, activities, and pedagogy that you use when you are outdoors with your class?

Presenters: Tricia Edgar
Tricia grew up in the rainy Lynn Creek watershed, where she enjoyed playing in the mossy forest. In 2011, she co-founded a forest school – Fresh Air Learning. She not only appreciates the many ways in which forest school connects children to the Land, but she has also come to love the ways in which it connects children to themselves and to the wider community.
