Mom & Me & Mom

Nina just finished reading this book and says that she really enjoyed it. It was a powerful story about the depth of the relationship between Maya and her mother. Nina especially appreciated reading about the journey that the relationship took and the picture of the fierce love Maya’s mother had for her; especially impactful was the way that she continued to refer to Maya as “her baby”, even in her grown-up years.  If you are looking for an inspirational read to end the summer days with, give this one a try. It is available to borrow in different formats from both the Fraser Valley Regional Library and Surrey Libraries.
