About the Executive Director

Nlaye Ndasadaye Child Care Society plays a vital role in supporting children and families in Whitehorse. Our programs are grounded in care, inclusion, and community connection. As Executive Director, you will help shape a learning environment where children thrive, educators feel supported, and families feel welcome.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership, operations, financial health, and community presence of Nlaye Ndasadaye Child Care Society.

You will:

  • Champion high-quality early learning
  • Build a positive, collaborative workplace culture
  • Ensure strong governance and regulatory compliance
  • Strengthen relationships with families, partners, and funders
  • Lead sustainable growth and long-term planning

Required Qualifications

  • Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree from a recognized institution
  • Level 3 Child Care Certification (Yukon)
  • Willingness to work with candidates from outside jurisdictions to obtain this condition within a reasonable timeframe
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in early childhood education
  • Valid First Aid & CPR (childcare setting)
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
  • TB test, immunization records, and medical clearance
