Responsible Adult/Early Childhood Educator Assistant (Temporary Part-Time Contract)
Hilltop Christian Childcare Center is accepting applications for a Responsible Adult or Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) to work in our School-Age program. This is a part-time temporary position to cover maternity leave. The applicant should have the desire to work with children aged 4-12years, and be comfortable working in a Christian environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead open-ended experiences with ease and enthusiasm
- Provide developmentally appropriate care and activities for the children
- Demonstrate a culturally sensitive approach to situations with parents, while still enforcing the guidelines set out by the center
- Build a relationship with each child and family
- Observe and support the individual child
- Follow and enact centre policies
Qualifications:
- Childsafe certificate
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Valid Criminal Record Check
- **Class 4 license or willing to obtain is an asset
Hours and Wage:
Temporary – Part-Time (20-30 hours/week)
End Date: January 2027
Shift: Monday-Friday, between 7:00AM-9:00AM/2:00PM-6:00PM
$18.00 – 20.50 – Depending on experience and qualifications.
**ECE’s – Eligible for Wage Enhancement $6.00/hour for ECE
5 paid sick days after 90 days, 5 additional paid sick days after 6 months.
4% annual vacation on each pay cheque
Life and Health Insurance: After three months of successful probation, employees are enrolled in the health and life insurance plan at no cost to the employee. Insurance plan includes life insurance, extended medical and dental coverage.
