Salary as of April 2025:
$24.21 Licensed ECE plus $6 ECE wage enhancement
$22.70 ECE Assistant
(additional 10.6% in lieu of vacation/sick)
Qualifications:
• Valid Early Childhood Educator or Early Childhood Educator Assistant License to practice issued by the BC Child Care Facilities Licensing Board.
• Special Needs or Infant/Toddler License is an asset
• Valid First Aid Certificate as per childcare licensing requirements.
• Criminal Record Review acceptable to the Centre.
• Provide proof of vaccination as per BC PHO for Health and Community Workers
Experience Required:
Experience working with children and families in a formal childcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Team player who works well with other staff to provide quality childcare. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as demonstrated through effective relationships with children, parents, and staff.
