National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

September 30th marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation also known as Orange Shirt Day. It is a day to honour the children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.
We’d like to share several events that are happening in the community to honour this day.
- September 29 from 3pm-5pm, join Skookum Surrey at Holland Park (13428 – Old Yale Road) for an afternoon of drumming, sharing, tea, and bannock.
- September 30 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, join se’mya’me (Semiahmoo) First Nation at the Grand Chief Bernard Robert Charles Plaza (15393 Marine Drive, White Rock) for the 3rd annual Walk for Truth & Reconciliation https://www.whiterockcity.ca/Calendar.aspx?EID=3478&month=9&year=2023&day=12&calType=0
