People often think that an Autism Spectrum Diagnosis is all about behavior and sometimes a lack of communication. Everyday we take information in from the world around us through our sensory systems: hearing, sight, smell, touch and our perceptions of motion, movement and gravity. How we process this information determines how we feel and respond to our social situations. Those on the spectrum experience our world just a bit differently and that determines how they relate in the environment and in social interactions.
