     10:00 am - 2:30 pm

During the first half of this workshop, we will teach the cycles of movement development that most children practice while growing and then give them a try ourselves. Our research is inspired by babies’ movements from birth and first breath to walking. Together we will practice these simple movements and experience what it is  children learn through their desire to move. Moving, stillness, and breath, support children’s brain development, and help them to learn their own self-regulation.

For the second half, this workshop will have you participating in several easy-to-facilitate movement games, placing focus on the creative capacity of children through movement. We will explore the potential of “Dancing Storytime”. We will practice reading a storybook and playing with that story’s movement possibilities.
