In this workshop you will explore simple and fun yoga techniques to support children and increase their capacity to learn, manage their emotions and balance their own behaviour.
You will learn:
– Techniques that transition children from high-level activities into more focused work.
– Five minute calming and centering activities to help quiet the mind and body.
– Movements that engage your entire group, both in and out of the classroom setting.
– Tools to help you to integrate yoga and mindfulness into your curriculum.
– Hands-on training and step-by-step instructions designed specifically for the child care setting.

Presenter: Jennie Abbot

– This workshop will be held online through the Zoom platform.
– You will need access to a smartphone, laptop, tablet or computer with a camera and audio capabilities to join us.
– A link will be emailed to you the day before the workshop. Please click the link ten minutes before the workshop begins to join in. Further instructions will be included in the email.
– For safety reasons we will be locking the meeting at 6:45 pm, so please arrive early or on time to ensure you get in.
