As we’re currently in the midst of a global pandemic, it is without a doubt a stressful time for many of us who find ourselves at home and in isolation. This can be especially hard for educators, as we typically thrive on personal interactions, but at this time we may not be in contact with the children, their families and our peers. Gurpreet will explain what educators can do to be more self-aware, to understand and be attentive to their own needs during these trying times and even useful lifelong skills for the future. Along with self-care for the body, self-care for the mind and spirit will also be discussed and showcased through breathing, meditation and other stress releasing techniques and their benefits. Gurpreet will be sharing a list of her favorite self-care strategies and tips to reduce stress during Covid-19 and beyond.
