Fill your cup first!

With so much to do as educators, making time to look after yourself is often the first to go. However, taking care of yourself is critical to being able to address the needs of others. As the saying goes, you can’t pour from an empty cup!

This workshop will include determining how lack of self-care can be detrimental as well as showcasing how self-care can look different for each person. Different methods of self-care, and what this can look like for different people (for examples: reading a book, exercise, or dancing). Along with self-care for the body, self-care for the mind and spirit will also be discussed and showcased through breathing, meditation, and other stress releasing techniques. Gurpreet will be sharing list of her favourite self-care strategies and tips to reduce stress and burnout.
