This workshop will introduce the ideas behind STEM curriculum and why introducing science, technology, engineering and math is so important for our young learners. During the workshop, participants will explore ideas for activities that invite children to explore STEM concepts in a way that is open ended, encourages innovative thinking and creativity all at the same time!
Presenter: Andrea Dawson
Andrea has worked with young children and their families for the past 20 years and has supervised in non-profit and inclusive early childhood programs. Andrea currently teaches at Langara College in the Early Childhood Education Diploma program.
Note: There will be a 30 minute lunch break. Please bring a bagged lunch.
