You don’t need to wonder Where the Wild Things Are, because sometimes they’re in your classroom! In this workshop, learn how stories about animals, plants and wild places can act as a portal to outdoor learning. Use literature to bring your group of wild things outdoors to explore! Whether you’re new to outdoor learning or a seasoned outdoors person, get ideas for creating connections between books, songs, oral stories and outdoor activities.

Presenter: Tricia Edgar

Tricia is a writer and educator who lives in the temperate rainforest of North Vancouver. She loves petting slugs and jumping in puddles. When she’s not doing that, she is the program director for Fresh Air Learning, a forest school.
