Join us to learn various ways to support speech and language development in infants and preschool-aged children. In this session you will develop a better understanding of children’s early communication patterns and speech and language milestones. Lisa will review simple techniques that can be easily implemented into the home or child care setting to promote speech and language development and discuss the red flags and when a referral to a speech language pathologist should be made

Presenter: Lisa Theimer
For the last 4 years Lisa has been the Director of Communication Therapy Department at The Centre for Child Development. She has been working with young children for most of her career. She started her career with deaf and hard-of-hearing children and later worked at the Surrey Association for Early Childhood Education for 9 years with preschoolers with special-needs. She has been working at the Centre since 2001.
